Ass kissers sometimes make it when they should not. Just like any other job.
I can honestly say, Im not a good ass kisser, although, I usually win people over with my personality, but form some of the people I know and compare, I am qualified, and would make a really good officer, and partner, I just have this hurtle I need to get over to prove my standard.

Although having a good personality is a good quality, there's a lot more required of a law enforcement officer than having a good personality and being able to influence people and make friends.
What is this hurdle you need to get over to prove your standard?
If you go to my other thread, that says, "will tickets keep you from getting hired" you can view my driving record, that is my big mistake in life, and the hirtle that is keeping me from doing something I have a great passion for.
No its not a big mistake in you life. Its a long SERIES of mistakes.
Yes I know, so you mean to tell me, there is nothing I can do except keep reapplying and wait?
Absolutely.
Sure it helps to have officers and commanders that you know, if they have a favorible impression of you and know your good qualities. Sorry guy, your driving history is still going to be hard to get around.:(
Yes it helps to know people, just because then they know you as well. I know we have a panel interview here and they make their Recommendations, still up to the Captain and Chief Deputy to make the call.
