Same here in NH. Vol FF's are aloud to have red lights and sirens, only police have blue...

Sorry to burst your bubble but if you called me to a scene because someone failed to yield you and your green lights, I would laugh at you and be on my way. I have more things to do in my life then deal with wannabe trying to do traffic stops.......

Go to the academy, get on with a PD, get through your FTO period, do some time on your own.....then come back and tell me how you feel.......

Depending on what state law is out there....he could. As I said, someone around here tries that shit and I am going to laugh at them. They try to push it....then we are going to have issues between us......and I WILL win.......

Red lights are only allowed to volunteer FF's with a permit, and medical staff/physicians of a facility liscensed by the state of Florida.

Non moving violation if you have lights on, that are not authorized.

I've been on the Vol. FD longer than i have been a deputy and ever since i went to work for the SO i rarely ever turn on my grill lights going to a call. I dont think the liability is worth it. One time my battery was dead on my POV cause i left my radio on in it and we had a house fire at 0200 so I drove my take home and got to run blue lights and siren. It was funny seeing me jump out in sweat pants and a t-shirt

I looked....our statute has nothing on green lights. Only thing I have ever seen with green lights are command vehicles at the Airport....

I just double checked ours.. I stand corrected, never seen anything about green lights. Only Red for Volunteer FF's and medical staff, Blue for LE, amber for Security, tow trucks, and funeral escorts.

So in fact, he would be getting a ticket here anyways. Green lights not authorized.
