I don't recall recieving any training on CV Enforcement.
I leave that to the troopers.
We got none at the academy but we have two guys that are CMV trained through the VSP along with some of the Bedford Co. guys. Sometimes when I stop one I will look at the logbook and if its obvious its out of date I will call a CMV officer
Same here the troopers take care of all that. Although I have been thinking about going to training for CMV stuff.
I had none. VSP has a hard on for CMV!!!!! Troopers eat up trucks....I usually won't mess with them too much. If they are speeding then I'll stop them but if they are decent then I'm OK with giving them a warning. They drive for a living so they have to screw up really bad for me to write them.
And for the record I have yet to pull one for speeding.
