I heard a rumor that starting with the new class in January, they are requiring any tattoos visible outside of a short sleeved shirt, ie on the forearms, be removed via laser treatment? Can anybody confirm or deny this? Wondering if I need to start the laser treatments before I finish my application?
I'd call their recruiting department and ask.
San Diego PD policy changed in the last two years, no visible tatts allowed. If they can be covered by the uniform, you are okay.
False. Their FOP stood up and fought it....and won. Tats are no longer a problem.
