Lots of cold water and natural soap. BUT DON'T RUB! it will only reactivate and make it burn more. WATER IS YOUR FRIEND!
It took 2 days before I could open my right eye and keep it open but I took the full stream in that eye. Felt like someone shoved a pencil into my eye socket

just sit back an enjoy the burn.
don't freak out it you are not going to die, it just feels that way. we used baby soap in the academy. i don't use anything on the streets but fresh air and time. just relax and you will be fine. some places spray and let you decon, we got sprayed, then they asked us several questions, then we hadvto run and beat up a dummy, then run to the next station use our baton right and left handed, then run to the next station pickup a pistol take cover, draw down on an instructor give verbal commands, and identify what they had in there hand before being able to decon. good luck

lol - How dumb do you think I am?
I appreciate the suggestions & warnings!!! I especially appreciate the one about it feeling like someone jammed a pencil in your eye socket - Maybe if I go in expecting pain like that, then whatever it actually feels like won't be so bad

As said, there's pretty much nothing that's going to mitigate the immediate effects. About the only thing you CAn do is makes sure you get the agent off of your skin completely when they allow you to. Baby Shampoo, Milk..these work, but, IMO the one SURE way to decon yourself, is Dawn dish detergent (and yes i mean The Brand Dawn, not something similar). The Resins and oils that hols the Capscacins (The "Heat") will be contained by the chemicals in the detergent, and you'll be able to flush them away. I havent found ANYTHING that works better. Getting sprayed sucks.. Getting Sprayed, and continuing to get zapped because you didnt Decon property REALLY sucks. As soon as you're able, use a LIBERAL amount of the dawn, and lather up your hair, face, neck ears, stache, eyebrows, and anywhere else you think you got sprayed..give it a chance to abosrb the OC then rinse well.. Do it one more time to be on the safe side, and you should be fine.

Thanks Al, ol' buddy ol' pal

Has anyone tried spraying themselves with iced tea sweetened with Sweet & Low?
I know that sounds dumb, but when I go to my favorite Mexican restaurant and set my tongue on fire by indulging in too much of their red-hot salsa & jalapenos, a swig of iced tea with Sweet & Low really cools my tongue off. Iced tea with sugar doesn't seem to have the same effect.
I never tried spraying it in my eyes, though - The sweet & low may burn as much as the pepper spray.

Ohhh..one other little Hint.. Try to NOT touch your Jimmy before THOROUGHLY washing your hands with the Dawn.... Hmmm Or, just for the amusement factor of your fellows...go ahead and do it...have someone film and post if possible.

buzzcut your hair before you go so that there isn't as much hair for it to stick to. We used to have some lotion when I worked the factory that would fill your pores and keep chemicals from soaking in, I wonder if it would help with OC/CS?
Good luck,

I have this mental image of you with a buzz haircut, freshly all body shave or wax, astringent on half your face, no eyebrows or eyelashes, carring in your arms, Dawn, Johnsons & Johnsons Baby shampoo, a gallon of milk, and iced tea with sweet and low.
AND before you can prepare your supplies the instructor sprays you

In our academy, they ddin't give us masks, they just threw 4-6 OC/CS gas grenades into a small gas chamber, and threw us in 4 at a time for 15-30 seconds. Then we had to get out and fight for three minutes...
I was the first group to go in. I remember the instructor saying "I think I used too many. First group!"
I thought the world was coming to an end and my eyes, lungs, and throat were all leaving my body post haste, and fleeing out the door like little bitches.

I've learned that using rubbing alchohol to clean your face right before you do it, works wonders. Keeps it nice and clean, so that the spray doesn't stick to the oils on your skin, and just runs off quicker. I done it, you should try it as well. works wonders.
In the meantime...
Nothing much you can do to alter the effects. But, please have someone video tape you taking a hit so we can watch in humor as you scream like a little bitch and fall to the ground rolling around. Many thanks in advance.

If the temperature is anywhere in the 90's that day, make sure if your car is sitting in the sun, fire up the old A/C a few minutes before you get in to drive home.
A car sitting in 90 plus degree sunlight will relight the fires as soon as you sit behind the wheel.
I speak from experience.
As a sidenote, a buddy of mine used to order nachos with jalapenos, AND spray OC on top of 'em. And eat it.
(Gave him gas for three days.)
(Oh, and don't let your significant other nibble on your ear that night either. Even AFTER taking a shower. She might not appreciate her toungue burning.)
Other than that - - - enjoy the experience.
