it hurts, but it does not affect everyone the same...you may be one of the lucky ones who is not as bothered by it. ive been sprayed about 10-12 times, and experienced cs and cn, and been hit with the pepperball gun...im not one of the lucky ones who it doesnt really affect unfortunately for me, but im still here.
its not a big deal, it hurts until it doesnt anymore...suck it up, remain calm, and youll be finein the warriors code there's no surrender, though his body says stop, his spirit cries...NEVER. deep in our souls, a quiet ember, knows its you against you, its the paradox that drives us all. its a battle of wills, in the heat of attack, its the passion that kills, and victory is yours alone.
the posts and opinions stated by me do not in any way reflect the values, beliefs, or views of my department. they are simply opinions and/or observations which have been developed through my personal experiences. hell, most of the stories probably arent even true...wink wink

Hey, I bet you get hit with my old can of OC. Scott takes the old cans for use on you guys.
"Somewhere a True Believer is training to kill you.
He is training with minimum food or water, in austere conditions, day and night.
The only thing clean on him is his weapon.
He doesn't worry about what workout to do---his rucksack weighs what it weighs, and he runs until the enemy stops chasing him.
The True Believer doesn't care "how hard it is"; he knows he either wins or he dies.
He doesn't go home at 1700; he is home.
He knows only the Cause.
Now, who wants to quit?"
"I am only one, but I am one. I can not do everything, but I can do something. And because I can not do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do I should do. And what I should do, by the Grace of God, I will do."

Oc spray made the CN/CS (I don't remember what they used back in the Marine Corp in 74) seem like nothing. That OC spray had me in the weeds for three days. I used the eye wash (sprays water up into just your eyes), and the big fan, and alternated back and forth for about an hour, and I still couldn't see. By the time I had to go home, I still couldn't see. I had to drive home holding one eye open for a few minutes, then switch off. I'm suprised I didn't get pulled over for DUI...I'd rather get tased than sprayed anyday.

I might take that day off, just to provide moral support......and for the laughs.

This thread is worth a report of this classic.

http://www.compfused.com/directlink/260/"If anything worthwhile comes of this tragedy, it should be the realization by every citizen that often the only thing that stands between them and losing everything they hold dear... is the man wearing a badge." -- Ronald Reagan, in the wake of the deaths of 4 CHP troopers in the Newhall Incident, 1970

Look on the bright side you could be getting Tazered. Now that hurts. lol
If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to there level and beat you on experience.

People react differently to OC and Tasers. I'd rather get Tased a dozen times then get OC sprayed. My eyes swell up just thinking about it! I took the shot and the full ride and never went down. When it was over, I walked away like nothing ever happened. When I got sprayed, I was miserable, blind, in pain, and life pretty much sucked for three days...
