Canadian laws re: MC "Colors"
On another forum I go to there's a discussion about "Colors".
One person from Niagra Falls, Canada stated he thought a law was passed that forbids the wearing of Colors.
Included is supposedly a provision the PD can impound the offenders motorcycle if they're seen wearing them.
Any truth to this?

I think the law's just been misinterpreted. In 1997, Bill C-95 amended the Criminal Code of Canada's criminal organizations laws. It defines what a criminal organzation is, criminal organziation offence, and offence-related property. It adds new provisions in the code under which law enforcement agencies can use to target and charge not only biker gangs, but members of other criminal organizations as well.
Anyone who is a part of these organizations and commits a criminal act can be charged under these new laws.
Essentially, what this has done is that it has forced some biker gangs, such as the Bandidos, to lay low and be much more discreet about wearing their colours.
Some might think that this has just forced the gangs to go underground, but the Criminal Intelligence Service Canada released a report in 2004 stating that there has been a notable reduction in gang violence, and credit that with anti-gang legislation.
Answer your question?"The unforgivable crime is soft hitting. Do not hit at all if it can be avoided; but never hit softly."
