ok i'll make it simple for ya buddy........YES, you can carry it in your car, wherever you want inside your car, and you can have one chambered. I would strongly suggest to advise an officer if he pulls you over, that you have one and where it is, and keep your hands on the steering wheel. make sure it's the first thing you tell him before you reach for your registration and all that. Nothing wrong with having it, we just like to know who has one and where it is. Hope that helps ya out.

The state of Louisiana considers your vehicle an extension of your home, and therefore you are supposed to be afforded the same protections. Though the legislature has passed some laws that seem to violate this concept, but that's another discussion for another time.
