Taking next CBP Officer test

Hello fellow LEOs.

I'm a Federal Officer, GL-05 will be a GL-06 in February. I plan to take the next CBP Officer exam. Q. Since I'm making more than what they start with, would they match what I'm making, once I pass the exam?

CBP is on the general schedule.
