Wow, two posts to the same thread. You know, some laws are MENT to be broken. Yeah, its illegal in some places, but BB guns have been around longern then all of us. Geeze, the BB gun was the first gun most kids got at age 5 or 6 (least I did). Good BB gun takes care of most pests and no damage to the neighbers property. Just use a little caution.

Most places in Florida it is ok to shoot a BB gun. The state statute basically states that anyone under the age of 16 has to be supervised by an adult. Otherwise it's a 2nd degree misdemeanor. The only thing you would have to worry about are county ordinances that prohibit it. Just check your county's clerk of the court website to get that info.

You can't shoot ANY gun in my city, from a BB gun on up. Legally, firing a Red Rider will get you charged under the same ordinance that a 30.06 will.

Not really, only if somebody is being a real pain in the butt with a BB or Pellet gun. Most of the time we just tell them to put it up.

You create the problem by feeding the cats out doors and now you want to kill an animal that is doing you no harm. Shame on you!

If you are "troubled" by having nature in your yard, trap and relocate the critters. All they are trying to do is survive.

I have opossums living in my yard - they have been there for more than the forty years I have lived here. They keep the mouse and rat problems to a minimum, they eat snails and grubs and they bother no one.

Learn to live with the creatures who were here before you were.
