Do you carry more than one cell phone?

WOW....never knew of a department that gave it's Explorers a phone. That's pretty nice...get your own cars too?

I suppose sometimes you get put on hold while waiting to talk to mom to tell her to pick you up.

Mandatory carry squad cell (so the sups can can call that phone and immediately get an on duty officer)
Also carry personal, which I also use for work more than squad cell because of better quality

I carry a personal phone and a work Nextel. The bosses are looking into getting detectives the fancy Blackberries that can do NCIC lookup.

I just personally don't like getting my work calls crossed into my personal calls.

My supervisors have Blackberries that can access our CAD/RMS from their phone. Using that, they have access to TCIC/NCIC. Its a pretty cool feature. Then can approve reports and do all kinds of things from their phones.

I have my personal, and then there are dept. issued Nextels that you check out at the beginning of each shift. Personally, I could care less for the Nextels because I think they are junk, and we have to log every call we make. If needed, I'll use my personal and block the number.
