Anyone know anything about this agency?
It might be close to San Diego, near the harbor. Does that help?
They cover the airport, and the harbor.
:noidea:
Well, what do you want to know?!?!
You didn't say what you were looking for either... When I lived in San Clemente I looked into applying with them... then I remembered I don't like the water :)

I am hoping to find someone on the site familiar with them, their politics, working conditions, etc.
Are they happy souls? Busy? Does it suck like crazy to work there?
To all non LEO members, please remember which section this thread was posted in. This question was directed to another LEO, hence it was posted in the "Ask-A-Cop" section.
Thank you for your cooperation:)
And to answer your question Maclean, I have no freaking idea about San Diego Harbor Police:D
I know that San Diego is the busiest harbor in the US...is huge and would therefore require a LOT of policing....but thats about it for me.
Love ya son!
I don't know about the San Diego Harbor Police but I attended my academy with the New Orleans Harbor Police. They have jurisdiction in the Mississippi River and canals connected to it. They also have jurisdiction along the riverfront and any Harbor Board property. They are a full functioning police department.
(and my academy was freaking awesome)

Thanks lew, I've been kind of intrigued by working on boats lately.
Good link!
You might want to talk to or PM Jato, he works near there and might know something about them.
Mac, we have a small river/large creek that runs south through our jurisdiction........I'm guessing it eventually, in some manner runs to the Mississippi, then out to the gulf. Maybe, JUST maybe I may be able to print off your post, drop it in a bottle and hope it makes it to the Panama Canal, then west, and by some freak of nature, north........
I'll let you know what they say when I get the note back. :D
Think Port of Seattle PD. Very, very much like them. Ports, Lindbergh Field, etc. Dunno about pay, benefits or pension. Nice climate though.
Thinking about a move south?
I went to seaworld in SD once, that was nice,
actually when I was visiting SD the area seamed nice in general, dont know anything on the Port.
