How much law enforcement experience do you have?
I'm in my 9th year.
4 months.
Starting the 21st year
30 years
Starting on my 2nd. Good thing you old guys are around to help us youngsters.:D
All years are not created equal. Not a knock on anyone here, just a knock on some of the more "experienced" officers I've seen at my own department.
In my 6th year. Just over my 1st 5-year hump.
I am like NARCDOG, 30+ (to damn much). I going to see of the Free Beer post is legit.

May 1st will be my second year of FT work.

I pinned my first civilian LEO badge on in February of 1996, and my military LEO badge in 2001.
23 years, retired for 2 years. Had a lot of fun, but I am glad it is over. Still see the guys alot, just got back from lunch with a friend who is sgt. on the P.D.

August 3rd will be my 40th year wearing the star. (All with the same department.)
Wish it all counted for retirement. (I'd probably have one helluva attitude if it did.)
Actually the first fourteen were as a reserve deputy (unpaid) while I was making some REAL money in the oil field.
Then about two years as a part-time crime scene tech, and this coming July 1st will be number twenty-four full-time.
Therefore 40 all together.

Overall, it's been a great ride.
