Knives
I am curious to know what kind of knives you all carry as apart of your uniform? And how often do you need them. I am looking at the 5.11 inspector with tanto blade.

I carry a Gerber multi-tool on my gunbelt. In plain clothes, I carry a Victorinox (same folks who make the authentic Swiss Army knives) multitool that I like much more; you can get access to the various blades without opening the pliers, unlike most others.
I also carry either a Spyderco Police model knife or their Byrd Cara Cara, depending mostly on mood, and the simple fact that the Cara Cara is noticeably less expensive, though nearly as good as the mainline Spyderco. Which means it hurts much less if I drop it somewhere...
How often do I use 'em? Seems like I use one function of the multi-tool or another almost every day. The folding knives? I use 'em as tools a lot... never had to use them to fight.Voting against incumbents until we get a Congress that does its job.

I carry a spyderco folder. Never needed it in a fight or really to cut anything. I use it mostly as an entry tool.
I don't make things difficult. That's the way they get, all by themselves.

In my pocket I keep a Letherman micro. I have a kill knife tucked away too. Occasionally I carry my Wilson Tactical Cop Tool but the sheath is clumsy so it stays in the gear bag most nights.

Curious, is it not, that you have posted this very question in at least one other forum? In that forum the reply was that it was a tactical question and not for public discussion; yet, you come into another forum and ask the same question. Is there some underlying purpose in your shopping around?

I carry the Benchmade 9050 push button auto. It looks cool and opens pretty fast but I don't use it often.

I also have a auto open Benchmade. I carry it daily but it's very expensive and I'll cry if I lose it.
I need to get me a cheap daily carry.
