Traffic stop question

From which side do you approach & what are your reasons ?

It is entirely situational. As a general rule, I approach the driver's side at a close angle to the violator vehicle. I sometimes switch up and approach the passenger side. This sometimes depends on number of occupants, traffic density and location of stop (high traffic area, mud puddles, etc.).
Other factors are trade secrets and for officer safety reasons, I don't want to go further.

As he said we will not discuss tactics in the general area or with civilians. This is nothing against you but this is to protect us as officers.

I prefer to teleport into the vehicle, and use my phaser on stun.

I just make all stops felony stops. That way I don't have to decide which side to approach from.

I like to approach from the front, I make sure the driver has the car in gear and is revving the engine. Makes me feel safer

Have any of you ever gotten into the back seat, and asked the driver to take you to the nearest strip bar?

Just wondered, it sounded like a fun way to confuse them.

(No I'm not telling anyone other then cops how I handle my stops for my safety and other officers regardless of what I think your intent may be)

I prefer to do them one of two ways....

1) Run screaming up to the driver's side door and promptly T-Bag the driver through the open window and stamp "I got pulled over and a Deputy dropped his nuts here" on his forhead. Then run back to my car and drive off lights and sirens. I leave them totally confused.

2.) Run up to the vehicle, piss on the rear tire, break out the rear window with my ASP jump in and scream "WAZZUP MY BITCHES???". And then promptly run back to my vehicle, and drive off lights and sirens.
