Best place to buy gear?
I need suggestions on the best places to buy duty gear for a LEO. Best includes Safarliland, cheap (Relatively), and a wide selection.
Five-0 suggested to me Baumshoe, and I've ordered everything I can from them. However they don't have a very wide selection on some of the items I've needed.
For everything they haven't had, I've gone to OutDoorPros. They have been by far the cheapest. However I placed a large order, actually 3 large orders. I check back today, 1.5-2 weeks later, and everything I ordered from them is on backorder. Nice of them to let me know */sarcasm* So I need another source for the Safariland stuff Baumshoe doesn't have. And if the place price matches, that'd be awesome! I need the gear soon (<2 weeks), and have to buy everything myself, and money is really tight.
Thanks!

Private message Baumshoe here and ask him if he can order what you need. All of there stock is not on there website.
Also, I see this is your first post. Introduce yourself to the members. And if you're law enforcement, private message Pudge113 so we can verify you, and give you access to the Verified LEO area.

Like Term said. PM either baumshoe or shoestring. They will and can get what you need. They did it for me and very quickly.

baum, you'll have a PM shortly. It's nice to see you on this site, reaffirms the good word that's out on you.
I appreciate the welcome. I don't want to "introduce" myself yet, as I am not a LEO (Yet), and will be starting my first academy here shortly, and would rather lay as low as possible. So I won't be posting much. But I'll be reading

I got almost everything I needed from Baumshoe - I'm very pleased with the Boston Leather duty gear & Blackhawk SERPA holster I bought from them.

I would still post an intro thread to let everyone on the site know a bit about you. If you feel comfortable with it, post what state you are attending academy in. You will find officers from your area that can give you advice. You will also be hard pressed to find anything but postive feedback on Baumshoe. I have ordered things from them that they did not normally carry. It took those guys all of a couple of days to have what I needed. Enjoy the site, and good luck with the academy.

Ehh, maybe some other time. I'd rather not even put the state up.
Baumshoe, I sent you a PM with everything I need, I hope you can get it!

I will definitely do that.
For the others here. I spent the better part of an entire day finding the absolute cheapest prices on gear. Baumshoe just returned my PM with his prices. I think every one was better. And they aren't backordered.

Baumshoe has taken as much money from me as my ex. Only I don't mind giving my money to Baumshoe!

It could be worse.....She could come back

I got my handcuff holder today. I only bought one pair, because that's all we are required to have in the academy. But when I graduate, I'll buy another. I won't need a holder most likely, most officers around here don't use the holders. But in the academy we do.

Secure your cuffs somehow; don't rely on simply looping them over your belt. There are lots of styles, ranging from loops that work kind of like belt keepers to double pouches with flaps. Personally, I like a covered flap, so that they aren't going to fall or bounce out, and so that crap doesn't get into them, interfering with them when I NEED them to work properly, right away.
