What would you do?
YouTube - Role Reversal: Man Pulls Over Cop For Speeding!
This idiot speeds after a cop...
I don't think the cop handled it very well though. Doesn't seem like he was going that fast for a decent reason (he could have been though).
Arrested for kidnapping (6:20 mark)? Definitely seems like that cop was flustered.

I don't think the cop handled it well either. He knew he screwed-up, but that doesn't excuse the guy playing with his camera phone driving like an idiot to catch him and "pull him over." He was trying to antagonoze the Deputy, and when that failed, he stood in the road to block his way! That being said, the guy shooting the video was, IMO, a total asshat!
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

What would I do?
I DID it. I wrote the azzhat that followed me a citation for excessive speed.
The story:
Back about six or eight years ago (when I still had my "super-fast-go-catch'em mobile" / Camaro Police package), I was on my way to get fuel one afternoon.
Now understand that a simple tap on the "go-pedal" in this car would get me up to the speed limit (or beyond if needed) very quickly. Way quicker than your typical "granny car".
I was stopped at a red light (first in line), and when I got the green, I tapped the go button, and was at the 45MPH posted limit before the cars behind me even crossed the intersection behind me.
I had about a half-dozen blocks to go to get to our fleet shop to get my gas, but noticed in my mirror that the car behind me was coming up to me pretty quickly. As I pulled into the yard, this brain surgeon pulls in behind me, bails and proceeds to get all over my face about me driving so fast.
I attempted to tell him that I was only doing the posted limit, but admitted that I had probably gotten up to it quickly due to the type of vehicle I was driving.
This "citizen" commenced to yelling and raving and telling me that he KNOWS I was speeding because he had to drive 70MPH to catch up to me.
Ah-HAA, here comes the "dawning".
"Oh, OK, Sir, so since you had to drive 70 to catch me - AND SINCE YOU DID CATCH ME - apparently you were going faster than I was. CORRECT?"
"So, SIR, WHO was speeding here?"
"And since you just VOLUNTARILY told me, WITH MY RECORDER ON, that you were driving 70 in a posted 45 zone, please sign here, and press hard, you are going through five copies."
My boss got a kick out of it, and since this was a half-dozen years ago and I have never gone to court on it, I can only assume he just paid the fine. DUHHHHH.
I love my job. I don't even have to go lookin' for speeders. They come find me to get their tickets.
(Job security. Don't y'all just love folks like that?)

I got a DUI like that one night, had a call but needed fuel so I kicked it up a notch, I notice that I am being followed; so, I kick it up another notch-brain sturgeon does the same. I made a quick exit off the road when I went around a curve and goober zips by and I stop him. His son is in the car, and ya gotta love it, he says when I walk up "I tried to tell dad not to do that cause he's drunk, but he wouldn't listen to me"...I ran him to the jail, had the jailor book him and caught my call.
Good times.Job security...

Since our speedometers are calibrated every 6 months I can write speeding tickets from pacing. Doesnt matter if Im following them or their following me, its still pacing.

Whatever they called it. Don't remember right now (I'm 3/4 asleep @ 0200 hours). I haven't had it for a few years. We had two of 'em at the time.
Had the 350 with the chip in it - about 320 ponies. (Came from the factory with I think 285.)
It was anything but slow. (For this old phart, anyway.) Would chirp the rear tires in third gear (automatic) with great regularity.
Never had the nerve to see if it would do the 160 the speedo showed (kinda doubt it would have gotten quite that far), but it would sure get way "up there" real quick. (I won't say how high I got it, because I don't think the statute of limitations has expired yet.) ....
Will admit to having had a helluva lotta fun with that car though.
Found this pic of it buried on my 'puter.

Like I've said. I don't like to second guess why/or not cops do things, cause I'm not there. However, the deputy may have been going to a call (though lights and siren probably would have been prudent) and got cancelled for whatever reason. He probably noticed the guy following him on that side street and drove fast to make sure. Or he could be one of those that drives fast just cause he can and got busted. Bet he doesn't have an AVL though! Dude with the camera is an idiot, though.
YOUR ATTENTION, DO I F@#%ING HAVE IT?
I swear to Christ, if I survive this I'm gonna dance a jig!

The reason they do psych evals
The guy with the camera is definitely a jackass, but that goes without saying.
The cop was way too easily bullied. If some jackass were riding my ass and honking his horn like that, I'd have probably pulled over much sooner than this cop did. I wouldn't have let him run the contact like that, though, and God help him if he didn't get out of my way.
I also don't make empty threats and then get back in my car. If I threaten to arrest someone, they've got about five seconds to change my mind.
