    Standoff happening right now.

    Just a couple blocks from my house.

    Halifax said when police arrived and began talking to the man he appeared to become more upset. They also saw the man had a weapon nearby.

    We can hear the negotiator clearly while we are outside. One of my gf's acquaintances is on the SWAT team.

    How does your dept handle this? I would not have the patience to be a negotiator.

    There have been many commands for him to come out with his hands up. Not long ago they announced they would cut off power to the house.

    Beautiful day for a standoff. 66 degrees 37% humidity and sunny.

    I am going outside to prep my grill for the steak dinner tonight. Will report any more info as it comes.

    From one of the musicians at the bar last night.

    I will say the officers at the standoff last night were personable and humorous with all of us at the Hull Ave. It was refreshing and put a face behind the badge. I hope they are all safe.

    You do realize that it is your civic duty to provide steak for all the cops there, if you're going to cook it right in front of them like that...

    On my kitchen counter as we speak. Two large USDA Choice Midwest grain fed New York Strips, rubbed with a little olive oil, cracked black pepper and minced fresh garlic. Going on the grill with a little cherry wood.
