    I have a questions.

I have a question for you officers. In a story I'm working on. Two girls walk by the football field each of them hearing the coach berating the players who are practicing in brutal heat and they're no allowed have anything to drink. the coach tells he players to man up. What would occur f one of you in street clothes or in uniform? What charges could be made and what would happen to the field? evidence would be taken via s mart phone

Unless I were to see indications that the players (youth? HS? college or pros?) are in distress rather than discomfort, not my business, especially off the clock. Not letting the players get a drink NOW is different from not letting them get a drink EVER.

This. I pulled my kids from baseball when they were in grade school because the coach was off his rocker with the way he was talking to the kids though. I didn't even talk to them that way. Needless to say we had words and he was not coaching the next year.

Going to be a civil action Pfan. You could stretch child endangerment in my state, but I doubt most district attorneys would take that case up criminally. You could possibly have an intentional tort depending on when the player was conscience, but negligence is where the action will most likely arise. This is all fact dependant, state dependant, and dependant on the age of the QB. The most important question being, what are the damages?

Lewis since a policeman captures this on his shoulder camera not to mention seeing hearing the coach, hearing & seeing everything us making him a witness in court I would guess that this would be legal grounds to suspend the practice as well as taking the coach's behind in for questioning. It is learned at the Police station that this guy's brother has the same MO in another city. His brother berated a player and he the QB in the story passed out ad succumbed a heat stroke. The brother saw this and decided to flee to another city. This makes him an accessory to the crime his other committed. He could also be brought on charges of fleeing the crime Uh I'm not sure how to say this.

The QB s 14. Child endangerment is definitely something the coach can be charged with along with being an accessory to his brother whose MO is the same causing the death of one of this players in a city 150 miles away I'm not sure how far that is going to be as I have not gotten that far in my story. However h wife or ex wife could have divorced him for spousal abuse there are documents to back her story up including pctures one of you have taken showing woman bruised.

Depends. I doubt there is a crime here as I stated above. Suspending practices will depend on the sanctioning body of the team and the league, association, etc with whom the team is affiliated. That governing body should have by-laws, procedures etc governing this sort of scenario. The coach's brother and his actions have nothing to do with this coach as you have explained things.

So the parents or legal guardian will have to file a report and/or civil action on behalf of the child.

Depends on the state and how the statute is written.

No. These are separate incidents. His brother's actions are not his actions.

Again, separate incidents that have nothing to do with one another.

Considering the age, the parents would have to pursue the report and any charges here as well. The incident would be a borderline crime here as well. As a parent I would pull my child right then if I believed he or she was in danger.
If the child had to be medically treated then a civil suit could be looked at if an attorney would take it. The film could be requested and viewed by the attorney if the videographer kept it. Does that sound about right to you Guy?

I say that it's a civil matter. If a medical emergency presents itself, then the officer can call a squad. The coach would really have to f*** up in order for a prosecutor to file criminal charges.

High school JV. The school just opened & has 8th graders instead of 12th graders. My high school started out with 8th to 11th graders The next year the 8th graders were dropped and 12th graders were added the next year.

The coach could go to the slammer if he threatened the girl who taped this with her smart phone. I'm playing with this idea as well as another girl taping this with her smart phone as well. threatening witnesses is a felony is it not?

JKs this was captured on film on a syndicated V show & it is supposed to be shown on esquire TV according to what I hear. The show's name can be found on TIVO. The name of the show Esquire is going to escapes me.
