I probably carry an extra 10-15 pounds round my waist. And I don't even wear a duty belt.

Well, I'm at 240 without the gear-twisted steel and sex appeal, I know-and my nylon gear runs about 20 lbs.

I'm six foot exactly and 212lbs nekked.............(It's not ALL beer belly!). With my duty gear on I'm about 232-240lbs. When I am in full SWAT gear, I'm about 900lbs! And when it's 100degrees out, that fucking sucks!!
***Interesting sidenote folks...serious this time: about two months ago I was experiencing SEVERE lower back pain and it felt like it was inside my guts. I was seriously concerned about kidney or liver problems. I mean I was scared! I have a very high tolerance for pain and this shit was making me tear up it was so bad. The doctor told me it was my DUTY BELT! There is actually a medical term for it that I can't pronounce nor can I spell it, but the Doc said if it goes untreated it can cause serious tissue, muscle and bone damage and require surgery or even end your career. It is caused by riding in the patrol car and walking around with all that weight on your hips. All that shit is weighing down in the wrong spots and poking you in sensetive nerve areas. She showed me a simple re-arrangement of the heavy items on my duty belt and BAM! I feel ten times better! I had no idea, but it worked. Worth looking into with your doctor or some other expert if you have the same problem. It is apparently a very bad problem for small framed women carrying all that shit all day. Without, around 290lbs, standing 6'6.
