Very embarassing question..........
I have to get a vasectomy. I have heard a lot of horror stories and, quite honestly, I cringe at the thought of anyone with a razor-sharp piece of steel anywhere near my "happy place"
. Anyone have any experience with this who can lend advice?

Check out www.vasectomy.com. They have a common fears and questions section. You'll be put under a local anesthestic so you don't feel anything. There's also a no-scalpel procedure...As far as advice (from a chick), just do everything your dr tells you and you should be fine.

The best advice I can give you is...
make sure to make it to your follow up visit after surgery.
If my father had made it to his follow up appointment, I wouldn't be here.

My brother had it done and he said it was uncomfortable for a bit, but he could deal with it. However, he recently had it reversed and said THAT was horrific.

Long story short: When I was in Desert Storm, we destroyed a chemical weapons plant upwind and it blew down on us. I was bleeding from my lungs and ass for six weeks. Docs told me that I would never have kids.....if I did, they would be retarded. This kid will be number five (all healthy, by the way...military doctors are douchebags!) and I am done. I have to do this or else start my own zip code or join the Mormon Church. That's where I'm at and it's just got to be done. Thanks for all your help and I'll let y'all know what happens.
