Need the Help of Fellow LE Chicas
Howdy!
Well I'm joining Search and Rescue and I need to order some BDU pants. Well in the past, when I was in explorers, we orderd our uniform pants from a local uniform supplier and even then I always looked completely horrible in them because they were a guy pant and 1. I have hips 2. I don't need a crotch thats 2 feet long (anyone say chaffing?) 3. I like it to look like I have some sort of an ass . So now I've been looking at ordering the BDU pants offline and I'm kind of scared because I don't want them to look like shit!
So any tips and brands that either have women sizes or any brands that work better than others???

Are the Search and Rescue pants you looking for the ones with all the pockets on the thighs? They have those at the surplus stores, but of course in Men's sizes.
I had the same problem when I was a volunteer for the C.O.P. The woman were usually stuck wearing Dickie's. Wasn't much fun for me because I have a long waist and couldn't bend over with out some t-shirt exposure.
Once in a while I could find the OD color I needed at Woman's stores online - such as Lerner's and JCPenny's.
If I wanted the *official* LE pants for woman, they have them here in my area at a new store, but cost almost $100!

What we need is a basic BDU pants, you know the type with all the pockets and normally are tucked into the boots. Usually K9 wears them or a lot of the EMS uniforms are that.
I ended up wearing Dickies when in explorers too, simply because those men sizes seemd to look better than the specially ordered ones.
I just need something comfortable because unlike explorers, I will be doing A LOT of moving around, walking, etc. with these pants. So I need something that isn't going to be uncomfortable or cause chaffing.

Autumn check with 5.11 they make mens and womens BDU's. As a SRO we wear the BDUs. i have 2 pair of the 5.11 womens and they are a good fit, also I just wear some cargo pants from Wal-mart that are a lot cheaper and look the same lol.
Try this site: http://www.511tactical.com/index.asp?dlrID=511It is better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

I get mine at an Army-Navy Surplus in Columbia. They carry women's sizes as well as lots of different colors - you wouldn't believe me if I told you. I swear, they have neon camo.
If you have a military base nearby, try a surplus store located near it. They tend to have a better selection.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

I have a sheriff's meeting tonight and my female deputy friend will be there. She wears BDU's often. I will ask her where she gets hers. They don't look bad on her at all.

Hey thanks everyone!!! So very appreciated!!! I used to care about price, but after a few years of looking like a grandma meter maid, I'm seriously to the "enough with this shit" stage. Lol. We have our first actual Search and Rescue meeting this upcoming Tuesday so will probably be making a purchase after that.

Autumn, if you eBay, you might want to check them out too. I just found a few listings for Women's BDU's from 1.99 on up to a buy now for $24.99.
Not a bad price! I paid almost $40 for my BDU's at a military surplus.

Try Code3 by Southeastern, they make women BDU’s. I had a friend order me a few and I love them. The best BDU pants for women. Not that expensive either.
