What would your first order of business be, if you were a law enforcement officer?

I believe if I had just graduated the academy and were sworn in, the first order of business is to buy my FTO coffee.

I was so excited for my first shift on my own, then when it came and I finally rolled out on my own without anyone over my shoulder monitoring me, I was scared to death. The gravity of how much responsibility you carry really hits you at that moment.

First order of business? Search one of the in-laws' house or stake out his house and catch him doing his illegal deeds. Then put the rest of the in-laws on notice that I won't tolerate any illegal activity from them whatsoever. And then enjoy the look on their faces.

Ahhhh,the sweet smell of reality,couldnt fart for a week my butt was so puckered.:doh:

Man, I remember feeling like I was ready to take on the mafia, I though I was finally going to solve every cold case there was, I was the law and everyone was going to know it. I was itching for a call, I pulled more traffic stops that day then I have in my career combined. I thought I was going to solve all the worlds problems in one day. I was ready for it, had an attitude like, "I wish a MF'er would!!". Oh, how naive I was, but a better description of me was exactly like in this video. Didn't know how to talk to people and all I knew was I was the law and you WILL listen to me!!
