I was pooled recently, but when the judge and the defense realized that the primary officer on the case was my immediate supervisor, they decided I should be excused.
Too bad it took them the better part of a day to realize it.

I've been called but I am never chosen due to my previous work as a police officer. I would not try to get out of jury duty anymore than I would consider not going to the voting booth. Both are a privilege that people fought for and died for so that we are able to take on these important responsibilities. It wasn't that long ago that women and minorities were not permitted to do either.

I am unable to be on a jury due to sleep apnea and seizures that aren't controlled.
May God be with you and your families as you Protect and Serve.

I would gladly serve. My income would not suffer from missed work.
I fear my social views and weapons addiction may keep me from being picked.
To be clear, I think it's a travesty I lose my ability to defend my self in a court room. Pro 2A all the way!
Why wasn't I picked again? Doesn't every one open carry?

I've never been called for jury duty. I'm unlikely to be picked now, due to my profession.
However, if picked I would gladly serve. I consider it a civic duty, and it is one check and balance that the people retain."Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back!" - Captain Malcolm Reynolds

reply to where in wyoming
I have been looking at properties of 1000 acres or more in Wyoming, all counties, Montana and Idaho and also Colorado, in fact everywhere where I have been offered work. I have been offered 47 different positions since I stated to my employers I wanted a transfer or that I was considering partially retiring.
