I was just thinking, because we DID win the war, shouldn't the phrase be "Proper American," rather than "Proper English?":confused:
It doesn't so much bother me as it does you to say shortly later, but it does sound goofy. As for the "in color", I try to say blue toyota corolla, but sometimes I forget to put the color in front like that. Therefore, I will sometimes say a toyota corolla, blue in color, just so I don't have to make a white out correction. Our supervisors don't care as long as you get the info in.
Like us as a people our language is a mixture of languages and cultures, alot of it, god forbid comes from french, oh the pain!!
