Policing in Europe with the Military
I would like to live in Europe for a few years. I've wondered if there was some way that I could do it with the military. Every once in a while, I'll see job postings on USAJOBS for stuff over there as a DOD sergeants or security specialists. I've considered trying to go back in to the military on a contract for Europe, if they even do those any more.
Has anyone worked with DOD police there to see how they get started?
Any other insights?
My background is Army infantry and then EOD. Then I spent a few years as EOD in the Air Force Reserve. I don't think I want to do EOD any more. My skills are too out of date and rusty to do military EOD work. I've been a cop for 11 years, and that's my calling now.

They do have customs inspectors over in Germany that are civilian, but they do not do the law enforcement duties that you are used to now.
