As well they should.
I worked at Friday's many years ago, and on Veteran's Day an 80+ year old man came in in uniform with some family. I didn't wait on them, but I did speak to my manager and the time and convince him to give out a free meal and a lot of thanks.
I think it is great when any business does something like this...although it will be a wake up call nowadays when you have a 22 year old 'kid' who comes in after a year in Iraq or Afghanistan and gets his 'free' meal from a 25 year old kid waiting on him.--

I enjoy days like these and I'm glad they are doing this for our veterans. I actually received an e-mail from a co-worker about this promotion a week or so ago. I probably won't take advantage of it, but I'm glad they do it for our veterans. Unfortunately this is some of the only respect we get anymore.

And that is really sad. If I find out that someone is a US Military veteran in person, I immediately thank them for their service. Your service is not lost on THIS CIVILIAN. Regardless of what branch you served with, wartime or peacetime, or the fact that I work for the US Military. Sometimes I feel that I don't say it enough.
To all veterans who might have the chance to read this, Thank You for your service to our country!
