RIP Pfc Scott L. Roth
Tonight is the 20th anniversary of operation Just Cause in Panama. Pfc Scott L. Roth was KIA at 2355 hrs this date while conducting an operation in downtown Panama City with the 401st MP Company. We had engaged a Panamanian Defense Force patrol at an intersection in front of the Albrook Air Force Station and he was a M-60 gunner in my platoon. He was one of the first casualties of this invasion and was only 19 years old. Our unit took mortar fire and engaged the PDF numerous times during the next several days while conducting our operations and our company was awarded the Valorous Unit Award for the actions of our company. I will toasting you tonight my friend.
