The thing is, I dont have a long safe, just a little one so I would have to get another safe too.

I'm on dial up I cant see the video until Tuesday but I suspect I'm not going to like it (is it about the whole NY/Bloomsburg thing?)

They are a little finicky about ammunition, but they are fun to shoot.

They are a *lot* of fun to shoot with a suppressor, if that is legal wherever you live.

Hehe wouldnt that be cool -- a suppressor on my Pink .22!!!

I played with a .22 with a suppressor once, a guy at the range had one. I really didnt inquire into what was needed but I did hear him talking with someone else about having to have them "signed off" on and I'm not sure how hard that is.... ?

How finicky about ammunition? I hate cleaning guns and I know Sigs like to be clean

The Mosquito isn't really like the other Sigs other than shape and controls.

It's like every other .22 pistol though, with maybe the exception of the Rugers which seem to digest anything.

The example I shot liked some ammo but not others - not out of the ordinary in a rimfire.

Well, my Springfield XD doesn't like Remington so I'm sort of used to finicky guns, so maybe it will be right at home in my collection

I just found out it is a special make and they are only doing 500 of them. Soooooooo it looks like I can't sit on this and wait...

Yep... I just picked up another new one a couple of days ago.... Its a fun cheap gun with good accuracy.. I was putting in 1 inch groups at 15 yrds with 8 rnds... And people told me the gun POS. Hahaha.

People were saying to you that the Sig Mosquito is a POS? Because they weren't getting good results with it?

Not sure if it helps, but while true you can never have enough guns, I would honestly weigh your options. I'm sure your dad would love to see you (I can relate a personal story to this if you would like to hear it), and family comes first. Time with them is precious and you should cherish every moment. Further still, if the Sig is meant to be yours then there will be another opportunity for you to buy one. Hope that helps.

Oh no worries! I'm going to see him for a couple of days gun or no gun, it would be just preferable if he would fly out this way.

It's quite possible he'll reimburse me for the plane ticket too but I'm not planning on asking.
