I agree about the glock. I have had mine for three years and have only had two malfunctions, both of which occured after about 500 rounds without cleaning it.
I want a gun that is more easily concealed than my G22, and quite frankly I want one that looks good as well. Any suggestions?"The inherent vice of Capitalism is the unequal sharing of its blessings; the inherent vice of Socialism is the equal sharing of its miseries." -Winston Churchill

My wife asks me the same thing. I love the glock, but it is just plain. I love the looks of stainless guns and have always wanted one. While I am carrying, it won't matter, but when I am at the range or shooting on my parents land, it would be nice to have a good looking gun.
Not to mention the fact that I can't leave anything stock and its hard to customize Glocks. It has night sights, but nothing else. I want something that I can pour money into for no apparent reason, because that is what all of the rest of my hobbies end up as anyway.

If you want to change the look of the gun, well get some paint from Brownell's and paint it.

Yeah... I know it happens, but it shouldn't happen with a $1200 gun. It just left a REAL bad taste in my mouth. I do regret trading away my Colt Commander with that Kimber though, it left me with No-1911-itis. They are fun to tinker with, but I'd never carry one over a Glock.
As far as the safety and slide issue, I don't know what the exact sequence of the fall apart was, but my exact response was "WTF?!?!?!""Aim small, miss small."

Had to be a sheared slide stop, which would then shear the safety.
I'd carry my 1911 over my Glock, although I am not currently permitted to on duty.
It'll go bang as many times in a row as the Glock 22 will - but I realize they aren't all that way.I'm your huckleberry...

I have had both and shot both to the tune of a zillion rounds. If I have a choice, I carry the 1911.....cause I can shoot it so much better and cause it looks....BITCHIN!
