My real fun gun set. That isn't a vintage Winchester M1897 riot-gun. It's a Norinco replica. The S&W M&P was manufactured in 1913 and the Winchester 1895 rifle (30-06) is a Winchester but was manufactured in 1996.
What can I say. I'm an old fashioned kind of guy.

Thanks. There is just something about those old style firearms that appeal to me. Probably watched too many movies in my younger days.

I have a few old ones. I have an old Winchester 12 guage (not sure when it was made) that was one of the first semi autos they ever made. I have an 1890 Winchester Pump .22 rifle (with the octagon barrel), a 1934 Beretta, WWII Russian Nogant, an original M1911A1, and an General Motors M1 Carbine. That is on top of my other toys.

My collection is Colt revolvers. So far it's a small stable, only 5 ponies, but the "newest" one was made in 1974 and the oldest is a first edition police positive made in 1907 so it's a fairly spread out collection.
I view autos as tools. Revolvers are works of art, my hobby, and my off duty carry gun (Ruger SP-101). While not one to carry 4 guns and 3 knives, I am quite studied on handguns, handgun calibers and ammo, and handgun history so I've been called "Tackleberry" a time or four. The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
At communion, when the priest says "Body of Christ", I say "Thanks, I've been working out", then I grab the cracker and run back to my seat

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction. Those bastards won't get away this time.

Absolutely. With the exception of the P08 Luger and the C96 Mauser Broomhandle autos don't get my interest the way revolvers do. I'm a big S&W fan, but I do own a couple Colts (Detective Special 3rd Gen and a Colt Official Police from the 50's).
I'm considered one of the department's "Gun Nuts".

You know what makes me feel REALLY safe? The fact that I, a sworn LEO, had to wait 10 days to pick up a stripped AR lower!! I mean, what if some cop like me got all pissed off at someone and threw the lower at them? Another senseless assault weapon injury. I mean, come on....I could really bruise someone with that thing!!

I may be driving through Southern CA in a couple of weeks heading to Front Sight. Let me know if you want to go shooting.
