My gun show buys today
Today was my first gun show
The crowd was crazy and the line to get in was very long (I'd say I was in line at least 20 minutes). I'm not sure where all these people were when Obama was elected..but that's another story. The prices were generally high, but there were some interesting firearms there. I picked up some AR parts and a teeny tiny Swiss Army knife. I'm lucky that the guy at the AR booth is a good friend of a good friend so I knew I could trust him, because I'm very much in the dark about ARs. I tried to get a Glock Perfection iron on for a T shirt, but I waited and waited and the booth was so busy that I finally gave up and put it back down.
Anyway, my purchases today:

CTR is a nice stock, looking for one of those myself - or maybe a VLTOR - haven't decided.

What would make you choose one over the other? What would be the difference between the two?
I wanted to take pictures of the show..but they wouldnt let me bring my camera in
Interestingly enough... the security guard searched my fanny pack, but he almost didn't search the velcro compartment where I usually keep my gun in. I actually pointed it out to him and opened it up so he could see (I put my cell phone in there today).

I prefer the CTR myself. Speaking of which, I need to pickup a new one for my Colt boom stick.

Well, as morris knows - I am a big fan of the wider cheek weld provided by the VLTOR or the old MagPul which is what I run now.
The CTR is nice, but the VLTOR has storage for CR123 and AA batteries. Since my light and sight don't work without juice, a spare set of batteries on board is a factor.
Now, the CTR has a nice wide cheek weld and a wonderful price point.
Hence, my dilemna.I'm your huckleberry...

This is true, we need gun laws somewhere in line with such states as Texas and Missouri.
As far as the Marijuana smoking hippies go, we are working on it. Hopefully they will all go away.

I don't know if you have any Magpul AR mags, but they are the shizzle. I don't have any with the round viewing window. I just have the plain black ones. Then say you could drive a tank over them and they won't be damaged. I believe it. I think I've got 5 30-rounders.
I'm not ruining your life, you are, and I'm just going to write a short story about it.

I didn't buy anything really special, but I did buy a new knife. I couldn't pass the deal up.
