My personal purchased patrol rifle just came in and I picked it up yesterday.

Be careful with that. Those collapsible stocks will NOT hold up if you solidly buttstroke someone. Um....at least that's what I've heard.

Congrats and good shooting!

I love my DPMS! I have the 308LR, and I don't even carry my Colt H-Bar anymore. It sits in the gun locker. (I'd never hit anybody with my rifle butt, that's what they made bayonets for!) just kidding. I have a light that attaches to where the bayonet lug should be.
The six o'clock ruleI tell them to act according to the six o'clock rule, a phrase that causes most of them to say, "Huh?"
I tell them to use this little test before they decide to do something. If they were to do what they're thinking about, and it became the lead story on the six o'clock news, would they be proud? Would their department be proud, and would their family be proud? It's a simple way to live your life both personally and professionally.

How long ago did you order Caveman? I have two "tools" that are back ordered from DPMS.

Excellent. I have a DPMS A15 that I had trusted my patrol career on. It was replaced by a 6920 simply for the 1:7 barrel.
That being said, I'm saving my pennies (ha! Mothers - Mac would understand) for a .308 DPMS.
