Well I have joined the fraternity of gun nuts to the next degree by investing in a gun safe the size of a refrigerator. Actually this one is bigger than our fridge;). I was out running errands today on the way to the tax man when I noticed a local sporting goods store:
MARKS OUTDOOR SPORTS - Your source for hunting and fishing, handguns, shotguns, rifles, clothing, electronics, safes and all outdoor equipment.
They had about 50 safes moved outside to their lot. Since they took the time to move them out there I figured that they were priced to move. I was not disappointed. It was a blemish sale. Everything out there was half off, let me repeat that 50% OFF!!! I looked and left with the wife to go see the tax man. Did our business with him and verified that this could be written off due to my profession. Check. Well I'm sold. Back to the store. The $7000 safe was mine for 3,809.55 including tax. Granted on Liberty's website the safes are discounted too, but this on had some extras, and the blemish is at the bottom if you can see it in the first pic. Didn't hurt my feelings at all.
Liberty Safe - National Security Magnum
1565 lbs and 50 cu ft of space:) Worth every bit of $150 to watch someone else move it.
If it wasn't on the pallet still this safe would be just shorter than me. I'm 6'1 and it is 6'.05". On the pallet the damn thing looks down on me. I'm going to leave it on the pallet and bolt the thing to the cement floor.
