I've used a IWB when wearing shorts or sweat pants, if it's hot outside they aren't very comfortable. If you sweat when wearing a IWB holster you'll find condensation on your firearm.
Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!

No experience with either. I do however wear an IWB holster from time to time but it is an El Cheapo.

I have a supertuck for my M&P and a minituck for my PM9. They are exponentially more comfortable when wearing an undershirt, but I think that can be said of any holster. They both keep my gun tucked away quite well to the point that I can easily conceal an M&P9 fullsize in the winter even without a coat, my M&P9c in shorts and a t-shirt, and I challenge you to see a print off my PM9 ever.

I wear a Crossbreed IWB and love it.

I carry my Sig P225 in a Crossbreed Supertuck. Very comfortable hoster I would highly recomend it, I use it more than any of the other holsters I have for my Sig.

I like the function of the CB and the MTAC is right there with it. At open range one night I borrowed the CB. I loved its comfort and function, but not its aesthetic (or clips). The MTAC is very similar and has a much nicer aesthetic than the CB supertuck. I also like their belt clips better. So I went w.the MTAC, carry my G23 or M&P40c. There are lots of discussions on various boards comparing these two, and it's about 50/50, with the preference owing to variables such as clips, aesthetic, and cost. You can't go wrong w.either.
