Homemade Holsters

Five... Should have something for you to hold in your hands later this week (fingers crossed, Mini-Me has th flu and the Mrs. is "with child" and is not feelin great either)

Donut... I go your message here and the email. Can you email a pic of your phone? I l think that is what my partner has, and if so I should be able to help you. I don't know about the Model 10 though, I don't have a mold available for that. (is it similar to a J-frame by chance?)

The Bandito has been one of my biggest sellers here locally. Lots of guys using them in the off duty role, and some secret squirrels I know use them for "duty" carry. The business is coming along pretty well these days and "caught up" is not something I have been in a while, which I guess is a great problem to have. Diesel, my 2-cents worth.

The Model 10 is the S&W "K" frame if I recall correctly. That's the medium size instead of the "J" (which is basically the small 5-round Chief's Special). The "K" frame is the same as the Model 66 (.357 Mag).

And just for sh*ts and giggles, the large frame S&W's are the "N" frame (.44 Mag [remember Dirty Harry?], .45LC, and similar models).

So you have the "J" (small 5 round), "K" (medium .38's, .357's - 6-round), and the "N" (large frame).

Dayum, can't believe I remember all that since I've been carrying semi-autos for the last hundred years or so.

Got the holster and phone holder in today!!!

I spent about half an hour in front of my mirrior drawing and reholstering. That holster fits my Model 10 like a glove, there is a very confident grab of the gun as I holster it and drawing requires a deliberate pull to break free of the grip of hte holster. This gun is for carry around the woods and acreage I live on so I prefer a good tight fit over a "quick draw" easy holster. Also the holster is made of thicker kydex than other holsters I have had made by other guys, very sturdy and stout. I'll definatley be ordering more holsters for my other pistols.

The phone holder will need a little fitting, I have a heat gun for that. The reson for that is it was made to fit an I-phone and I have an Evo, its very close but too tight a fit to wear on the belt and get the phone in and out of. I'll warm it up and shape it and it'll be fine. I'm very happy with it also.

Got some friends that say they are interested in holsters so I hope to be sending them your way Diesel. Thanks for making the holsters for me. You are the only person I know that would make a holster for my Model 10.
