FS: Random AR parts and accessories
I finally got around to cleaning out the “random AR crap box” and these are the things that need to go:
Olympic “Pencil” contour 5.56 barrel. Purchased new from Brownell’s, round count is 400+/-. IIRC the twist is 1-9” and it is NOT chrome lined. $110 shipped. SOLD
Rock River Tactical Rear Sight. I have gotten great use out of this, but I’ve moved on to other things. Raised rail with built in rear sight. $75 shipped.
Older CAR stock with tube and buffer. Threads are a little boogered, but the castlenut does not bind or hang up. $30 shipped.
Colt HBAR A2 Upper Receiver(complete). Taken off very shortly after I bought the rifle. $110 shipped. SOLD
2x Rifle length AR handguards. Standard plastic handguards with heatshield. One set came off of a Colt HBAR, the other are DPMS IIRC. One set will include delta ring assy. ($30 shipped) the other will not ($20 shipped)
DPMS Aluminum Free Float Tube (Carbine Length). Lightly used, $20 shipped.
G27 Pistol Grip. (Painted) $10 shipped.
Hogue Overmolded Pistol Grip. $15 shipped.
Carry handle scope mount, aluminum. $15 shipped.
Riser mount, aluminum. $15 shipped.
Vertical Fore Grip. $15 shipped.
Remington 870 Rear Stock (synthetic). $20 shipped.
CAA Stock pack/ cheekweld for M4/ CAR stock. $15 shipped.

Depending on how the vertical grip fits my in car mount, I might be interested.

Barrel and A2 upper are sold to PGG.
Five... If you run it all of the way forward, it will work in the car mounts. I know this is an anti sales pitch, but unless you just really want this style (HUGE) of grip there are a lot better choices out there. I've been practicing the "thumb break" method of running my carbines, and though it is awkward to get used to and it doesn't look real pretty, I'm really beginning to embrace it. I have since put the Magpul AFG's on most of my guns.
Hmmm... Maybe time to put up a thread on that very topic. In the meantime, here is some lite reading on the subject... Vertical Foregrip Placement [2007-06-01] - 03DESIGNGROUP"Aim small, miss small."

I too was a magwell guy, but there is a lot more control when you get the left hand out front. Awkward as hell to get used to though.

Not completely sure which item you are talking about Mac... If it is the riser mOunt you're asking about, it is just a generic aluminum one that I probably bought off of eBay years ago. The tactical mount that is pictured by itself is a Rock River Arms.

Sorry - proper name for a "buffer tube" is "lower receiver extension."
