Diamondback DB9 (9mm)??
Anyone has this one and like it? I'm leaning suuuuper hard to getting one. The reviews seem pretty good and dependable. I have a a G27 for off duty carry, but it's a little bulky then I like. It doesn't go well with everything (clothes wise). The ruger LCP was what I had set my mind to, BUT then I just ran into the DB9 at the gun store. It seems perfect. Smaller than the G27, but more powerful than the Ruger LCP. I always wondered if the LCP would be a formidable enough carry gun and it just seems like a great in between gun. Only dislike I have with it is it doesn't lock back on the last round.

Looks nice but how reliable is it?

Not totally sure which was why I made the post, but I know when their .380 came out it had alot of good reviews but also alot of bad reviews. DB went back and fixed all the bugs out and now the .380 reviews on the newer produced serial numbers are awesome. The things learned from the .380 were suppose to be carried over to the 9mm version. The reviews I'v looked at on youtube and read all give it favorable ratings. A few articles believe the DB9 has a chance to sweep the market due to a compact/pocket pistol in a 9mm and it's affordable. The one I'm looking at here is priced brand new for $365

Definitely keep us posted. I was looking at an LCP for the wife to deal with the human predators but I like the idea of 9mm better...

I'm curious as well. If you would prefer the name remember ruger has the LC9 out now also.

My buddy just picked one up in 9 after originally looking at the 380bank version. 200 rounds and so far so good. He wanted something alil smaller than his on/off duty g27 bug and serve as a replacement for his Kel tec pf9. I don't have any range time on it but just handling it I really liked feels solid and I get the flavor of a really mini Glock. Trigger isn't great but better than most pocket guns I've played with. His initial shooting impressions are positive as well.
Plus buds has them for 320ish IIRC.

It will be a bit more expensive to practice with if you have to run hollow points through it specifically. I hope that isn't the case. Keep us posted.

awesome!! just what I'v been waiting to hear. I do read alot of reviews but I take them with a grain of salt because people can be paid, and also, companies will scour the net posting fake reviews under many different names and log ins to make their company or product look better.
Please keep asking him about it's updated performance and keep us posted. I plan to buy one September 3rd weekend at a gunshow for the 2nd amendment tax free weekend. No local or state taxes.

This might be an interesting off-duty gun for me, though I think I'll take a wait and see approach.

I would suggest looking at the Kel-tec PF9 9mm. I carry it in the summer on an ankle rig, but its small enough to carry anywhere. It is .8 inches thick, weighs 15 ounces with a 7+1 load, so it fits anywhere. Its pretty cheap too, around $250. I have dumped around 500 rounds of various loads through it and never had a malfunction. I got a cheap rubber grip wrap for it and it helped alot for holding on to it. It is really only accurate out to about 25 yards. Anything beyond that is little long for it, but its better than carrying nothing.
I do prefer carrying my Springfield XD subcompact on my hip for off duty, but like your G27, its a bit bulky. Thats why I have the Kel-tec. The Kel-tec isn't perfect for sure, its an ugly gun and could be more refined, but its kinda like an AK47, throw it in the mud, dump whatever ammo in it, and it will still fire.
I know alot of people turn their nosed up to Kel-tec, but I havnt had a problem yet and if I did, they have lifetime warranties so I'm not too concerned.

For a small .380, I'd recommend the S&W Bodyguard .380 semi-auto. It's basically a mini-1911, it's my mouse gun for daily carry. Looooong trigger pull, but integrated Insight laser and it's a 6+1.
