I love Mini-14s as they are more fun to shoot than an AR/M16 in my opinion.

Unless your the guy on the line to the right of the one with the mini-14, getting rained on by brass... from about 15 feet away. LOL Thank god we got rid of ours and went to colts.

Very true. Sadly, in my opinion, my department will not allow the use of any mini-14s only ARs and we must buy those ourselves. I have asked about allowing us to use the mini-14 but I was shot down. I guess I can't blame them for wanting uniformity but I already own a mini and will have to go and buy an AR if I want one in my trunk so I have a personal beef with this policy.
