Gun shop stops selling target skeletons wearing turban and robe after complaints from Muslim rights group
A gun store in Royal Oak, Mich., is being praised by the local chapter of a Muslim rights group after agreeing to stop selling targets that depict an AK-47-wielding skeleton in a turban and robe.The Detroit Free Press reports that Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI), voiced his concern to Target Sports about the gun-range targets, fearing they may cause gun owners to view any Muslim in traditional garb as an enemy.

Geez... those targets don't even have a face, just clothing. "Bad guys" come in all genders, shapes, sizes, races, religions, and wardrobes. Among other things a certain large police department is known to have used a target of a pregnant woman with a gun. So Jenna, shoot or don't shoot?

I like the Pierce Morgan example, except it's too wholly implausible. This is a guest who arms himself not with a gun, and not even particularly well with his own words, but rather with our Constitution..torn and lost after the First Amendment. Even if he were to rob a liquor store at gunpoint he'd have a staffer from the Daily Mirror do it for him. No, any accurate Pierce silhouette would be familiar to deer hunters...
