Oklahoma Joe's BBQ In Kansas City
Located in a gas station!

I tried the ribs. Some of the best that I have had in KC. The fries are seasoned with their dry rub.

My next question would have been, are you going to the Kansas side or the Missouri side?
What's an Oklahoman doing in Kansas City? I thought that was what Oklahoma City was for. Foreigners!!! I guess he had to bring the ribs.
Interesting how the mere mention of food gets the appetite going. Mmmm Yummy!!!

Power and Light District
Power & Light District

There is some nice architecture.

And some cool adult beverages! It was 105 heat index!

Summer Lager was refreshing.

Ted's was actually a pleasant surprise.

These are THE best margaritas in Kansas City.

The sweet and sour mix is made of fresh squeezed lemons, limes and a little orange. The 1800 margarita is a must have when visiting. This was worthy of "The Scale"

This tops any margarita on "The Boulevard", even Ponak's!

The Peanut. A nice little neighborhood bar.

Next door is a little Mexican restaurant that was recommended by some locals.

The 'ritas were good, but watching them pour a powdered mix kinda took the charm away.

Welcome to Stroud's
Oak Ridge Manor

The world famous Chicken Choker!

The chicken noodle soup is always perfect.

Grinders Pizza & Grinders West Upscale Deli | Restaurants in Kansas City's Crossroads Art District
Grinders and Grinders West

Grinders West
This is more of a deli/art gallery.

Out behind the restaurants is a courtyard/concert venue.

Grinders

I chose the 1/2 Philly Cheesesteak sammich, this was easily over 1 lb.

Alright, that does it , I'm headed to Kansas City.....
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Holy shit. Those are some good eats, but I gotta admit I'm getting some chest pangs just thinking about eating them.
