Day 3
I am hungry!
Breakfast now!
I overheard a lot of people talking about the newest food stand at the fair, Quesadilla Junction!

I ordered the Sausage, egg, cheese, salsa quesadilla. All of the quesadillas are made to order!

With a dollop of sour cream, of course!

Yumm!!!
This was huge, almost two pounds.

Jalapeno Pete's
Jalapeno Pete's | Facebook
Jalapeno Pete's has a new t-shirt every year.

Notice the lines that run to the margarita and daiquiri machines. The other bars dump bottles. At JP's, they just turn a lever and the machine fills.

Pork Tips/Steak Tips

and

Owner Mike Kinnear has worked the Iowa State Fair for 41 years. The last 11 years he has had these two food stands. They will go through 3,000 lbs. of pork loin and beef ball tip during the fair.

Grilling and cutting the ball tip, these are also called butcher's hearts because of their heart shape.

These simmer in cast iron pans until served. The dinners come with real mashed potatoes made on site, onions, mushrooms and green beans.

Am I mistaken or did you hit the pork chop on a stick twice. Either you really like them or the beer is starting to effect you Great One. Thanks for posting the photos. I had a great time at the Iowa State Fair.
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
