It's an Asian thing.
We are throwing something together that's a little different.
Sweet potato leaves.
That is two sweet potato plants.

Some of our fall lettuce crop.

Cut some of the sweet potato vines and pulled the leaves off.

Marinated some chicken in soy sauce, rice vinegar, hot pepper flakes, ginger, garlic and roasted sesame paste.

The man who will go where his colors go, without asking who will fight a phantom foe in the jungle and mountain range, without counting, and who will suffer and die in the midst of incredible hardship, without complaint, is still what he has always been, from Imperial Rome to sceptered Britain to democratic America. He is the stuff of which legions are made. ...His pride is in his colors and his regiment, his training hard and thorough and coldly realistic, to fit him for what he must face...and his obedience is to his orders. He has been called United State Marine.

My sister in law is from the PI but they don't live locally so I don't get to sample like I should. Then again, I like not being 300 pounds and if she cooked for me often that is exactly how I'd wind up.

and peanut butter sandwiches for Junior! Actually, I made chili tonight (since I weigh what I eat and have it down to the last gram of protein, carb, fat and each and every calorie, it's easier to precook my food so I already know what I'm going to eat 3 days from now...chili is great because with the 1 to 1 1/2 hour of effort, I get 5 meals out of it!)
