I have a particular weakness for baklava.
Yesterday we hit Applebees, I had a reuben. It was a bit disappointing, honestly. I think I'm just going to have to cave in and start making my own. The big problem is that living in the Deep South you don't often find places that even offer them, let alone good ones. Same story with Chicago style pizza.
Today will be something involving chicken as I have two chicken breasts in the fridge that I have to cook. Maybe chicken piccata.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

HI dear,
Today I am deciding to take fried fish along with Russian salad and tomato sauce for my dinner and a big bottle of fresh orange juice after the dinner. This is my favorite food.

Looks good, IM!
Yesterday must have been steak day, although I kept it basic - I pan seared a ribeye and topped it with caramelized onions and a balsamic reduction, the sides were a baked potato and a wedge salad.

Oh yum imgreat, I'll skip the steak but the potatoes sound divine!
Last night I had mushroom risotto and shrimp. Not too bad. Would have preceded a stuffed crust pizza with extra cheese but I am trying to eat healthier. Almost 15# lost so far....and more to go.

Almost forgot this.
I told Mom and Dad we were going to make enchiladas and fried chicken the way his Mom used to make. Tortillas and enchilada sauce from scratch. The chicken was seasoned with cumin, coriander, and our ground hot pepper. There was fresh pico and guacomole on the table. Mom and I had Blue Masonjaritas©

The enchiladas were filled with equal parts of potato, onion, colby cheese and diced dill pickle. To Live Is To Eat

Sharing a state with pgg was bad enough, but Wolven probably knows all about that now since that last reply looks like something pgg would say. pgg rubbing off on you there, Wolven?
All this talk about food reminds me of a family recipe we like to call "Sticky Chicken" It involves braised bite sized chicken breast pieces sauteed with a sweet and sour sauce of Catalina dressing and plum jam over a bed of rice. YUM!!!

i enjoy grilling and have been told i do it well. every now and then though the meat, heat and seasoning combine for the more than perfect steak. that happened last night. it was my wifes birthday and we had some friends over. with stuffed jalapenos and homemade coffee liquior to wake up the palate i got to grilling. the steaks with the perfect grill marks and sear were works of art. it was like they were getting ready for a photo shoot for a food magazine. cook to perfection and bursting with flavor not a word was spoken as the fork tender masterpieces were devoured.
