Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Taco soup made with venison. I have about 60 lbs of venison sausage and ground venison in the freezer. I have a feeling that I will be eating a lot of it.

I have an unhealthy obsession with taco soup...I bet it was good!!
Tonight is pulled bbq beef sandwiches (beef roast simmered in homemade bbq sauce and then shredded with a fork to make yumminess), homemade coleslaw, and baked beans. Sucks that tonight I have a class and it will be cold by the time I get home, but I think I'll just leave it simmering in the crock pot all evening. There's no such thing as simmering bbq too long.--"D.B.A.D." --Me

We ate out yesterday morning and we were so full we only had leftover spaghetti and meatballs but today I am making New Orleans Corn Bisque. Never made it before, my hubby found the recipe online so I am making it today. Tomorrow I am making stuffed shells and Tuesday I'm making overnight french toast. This french toast is to die for. It sits in the egg mixture for up to 36 hours in the fridge, then you bake it and it is like an egg custard. It is soooo good!
My dad, I miss him every day.
