Washington, D.C. Our Whitehouse
We did get inside the The White House NO cameras permitted. This was a very nice walk through some rooms where a lot of history has happened. The security point was not as thorough as I thought it would be.
There was one secret service officer per room. As I walked into one of the larger rooms, I notice the secret service person was texting! I bellowed, "No texting on the job!". She laughed, held up the phone and said, "It's a business phone!". I laughed too, heh. Towards the end of the walk through, I started asking questions.
Q: How many secret service personnel are on sight at one time?
A "We cannot answer that Sir."
Q: Can I go upstairs since no one is home?
A: "No."
Q:Are those vehicles special?
A: "They are bulletproof."
Q: Do the special vehicles have other special features?
A: "They are bulletproof."
Q: Can I go back to the start of the tour and do this again?
A: "No."
Ok, so I went outside and proceeded to meet up with the rest of my group. There was a large pipe on the lawn that had what appeared to be steam coming out of it. This was on the opposite side of where the kitchen is located. I asked about that too. A: "That's nothing, Sir."
There is a guard shack on the side where we were gathering. The guard in the shack had a nice machine gun and I noticed he was staring at me. So, I decided to stare back. Nothing happened and he went about his guard business.
I ask too many questions?
