Beach Drinks
Great,
I will be heading to the beach on the 20th of August. I need 2 of your best beach drink recipes. I say 2 because I will making your Jaritas:

This is a no kids event so make me and the wife feel no pain. Nothing too sissy though. By all means if you have summer, poolside, beach, boat drinks let me have'em!!! Love the Splenda recipe, the less sugar the better.

This is an old fav of mine. The copper mug is the classic presentation, but a tall glass works fine.

Can't help you with drink recipes. I always drink a good scotch or dark rum straight, no mixer.

I like vodka and ginger ale (especially if the ginger ale is made with REAL ginger.) Alternately, vodka, tonic, and a hint of grenadine goes down sneaky smooth. You can't go wrong with rum based drinks at the beach, either.

One of my favorite summer drinks is lemonade with vodka or Jack Daniel's.

I invented this a couple years ago on a visit to Clearwater. I call it "The Floridian". I normally mix it singularly in a tumbler or similar normal sized glass, but you can just multiply it and mix it in a pitcher.
1 part Cointreau
1 part Capt. Morgan Parrot Bay Key Lime Rum
1-3 parts grapefruit soda (Walmart actually makes a good grapefruit soda for this, or the new "Citrus Blast" soda works as well) (adjust this part to control how strong you want it)
Mix it up with plenty of ice. It's a nice refreshing drink for a hot day on the beach or your front porch, and it can still get you messed up. When mixing just one glass, I normally do 2oz each of Cointreau and Parrot Bay, and 3oz soda. I came up with this one as a drink that was all Florida citrus fruits. If you make a pitcher, you can even cut up slices of oranges and key limes into it. In a pinch, if you can't find a true grapefruit soda, Sun Drop can be substituted into it.
