They put the "scream" in "ice cream"!Mobile ice cream vendors were banned from Des Moines after a 9-year-old girl was killed in 1967. Efforts to make them legal again failed in 1996, 2006 and 2007.

Over the Top Chocolates
As I entered a family was leaving. They seemed to be satisfied. There was only one employee on duty.
They also have chocolates and fudge.
Interesting tables.
I tried the
Heavenly Hawkeye $5.49
Vanilla ice cream drenched in hot fudge and caramel, topped with roasted pecans, whipped cream and a chocolate covered caramel candy.
This was very good! The ice cream was rich and silky. I will definitely be back.To Live Is To Eat

No, we don't have them. By the way, ice cream trucks are in the same category as clowns on my creepy scale. No reason, just think they are creepy.

I absolutely HATE ice cream trucks! Most of the drivers I've encountered seem to have been recruited from a carnival somewhere.
