My cousins daughter was married today and my wife was volunteered to make the wedding cake. I'm quite proud of it as it is her first one. She was as nervous as a cat shitting thumb tacks. (yeah it's a red neck thing)
Lew, Mary has been doing cakes for years and this one looks every bit as good as one of hers. GREAT job!
The only thing I regret about watching my wife do one was learning what the icing consisted of. Haven't really wanted any wedding/birthday cake since.
That is a beautiful cake! Even more meaningful because it was homemade.

That's a great icing job. I thought it was fondant. Cake decorating is my next hobby. She did a great job.
