You never know what kind of "gifts" your cat will bring you.
The other day we were out in the garden when we noticed BONKERS walking towards us. As he got closer he let out a very muffled meow. He walked over to my gf and dropped something at her feet.
It was a baby sparrow. It was early evening so we decided to take it in for the night.

Early the next day we released the baby near our bird feeding area. Not more than a few minutes later the bird flew away.
"Hmmph, try to give you guys a gift and you just let it go!"

Topping off the garden.
Every year after all of our plants are up, we top off our garden with some type of mulch.
My gf works for a catering service and gets to collect old coffee grounds. There were enough grounds to fill 4 five gallon buckets.
This is about one third of what she had.

I dumped these throughout the garden, filters also. We both love coffee so this was an olfactory treat as well.

I picked up a few bales of straw.

We also lay down a couple layers of newspaper, then top off with straw.

Finito!

This all will till in nicely later this year.To Live Is To Eat

The last of the radishes and the onions that survived the winter.

The delfino cilantro had gone to seed so I cut the tops off to save the seed. The grape vines were trimmed to promote the grape growth. We saved the leaves to make Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmades) Recipe - Allrecipes.com

Trimming the tomato plants
I trim the lower one foot of each plant to promote better air circulation around the plant. The plants are placed as close as possible in a Biointensive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia technique.
